Community Projects

The art room periodically carries out commissioned or speculative art projects, for the benefit of our and other communities. These can take the form of sculpture or mural work, but normally are pretty big and involve lots of people in their creation - a coming together of artists to create something.

Previous projects include a mural for the Chestnut Tree Hospice and the Royal Alexandra Childrens Hospital in Brighton.

Our last community project was stained glass project to restore the decorative glass in the front entrance of The Corner House. Previous students of courses taught at The Corner House participated in the design and execution of the restoration.

If you are interested in commissioning a project, we are always on the look out for new opportunities to link with our local community. Our work emphasises cost effectiveness - because it is a colaborative effort of many artists, our time is free. We often only charge for materials. If you would like to know more or make an enquiry, please send Angie an email.
